High pressure injections with contrast medium via port catheter systems

Access to implanted portcatheter systems for administration of pharmaceuticals or infusions, blood sampling or blood supply (with high lumen cannulas such as 18G). Use only the appropriate non-coring special puncture needles to puncture the silicone membranes of the port chambers. These are specially beveled to prevent silicone particle fragmentation and membrane puncture defects.

Depending on the indication, the choice of the appropriate cannula diameter and its length is in responsibility of the physician.

A Luer-Lock connector allows connection to syringes, infusion systems, etc. with a 6% Luer taper for intravascular and hypodermic applications.

Patient group: Use in patients with a fully implanted port catheter system.

Operator: Medical professionals (doctors, nurses) with appropriate training
